Boxed beef values were firmer Thursday with Choice cutout at $407.86/cwt, up $2.01 from Wednesday and establishing a new annual high for 2025. Select closed at $383.60/cwt, up $0.44. The Choice/Select spread widened modestly to $24.26, compared to $22.69 the previous day.  In the primals, Rib improved to $613.71, a new 2025 high, up from $609.92. Round also set a new annual high at $362.34, rising from $359.89. Chuck gained to $362.58 (+$4.44), while Loin eased slightly to $495.25 (-$1.10). Brisket softened to $341.79 (-$3.27), Plate edged higher to $273.94 (+$1.27), and Flank was nearly steady at $237.90 (+$0.57).
