Saturday Sr. Western Dance

For fun with friends , come to the Western dance every Sat. night 7-9:30, live band, The Shadow Riders . cover charge $8.00 no alcohol, or smoking of any kind.

Rock Island Arts Festival

The Chickasha Area Arts Festival presents the  Rock Island Arts Festival,  from Friday, Sept. 30th through Sunday, Oct. 2nd, at the Rock Island Railroad Depot.
 

Regional artists will attend with items for sale (jewelry, sculptures, woodworking, paintings, and authors with books).
    
Live music and entertainment are featured all three days.  Food trucks and a beer and wine garden will also be there.

Rock Island Ride

The Sixth Annual Rock Island Ride Bicycle Tour is Saturday, October 1st, at the Rock Island Railroad Depot in Chickasha

There are course for all skill levels, with lenghts from ten to 63 miles.  There are also two gravel routes and a rock climb this year.
        
Proceeds benefit local charities, including Mobile Meals of Chickasha, Chickasha Emergency Food Pantry, and the Salvation Army of Grady and Caddo Counties.

Into The Woods

Chickasha Community Theatre presents "Into The Woods" by Stephen Sondheim, September 23-25, and September 30 - October 2, at the Washita Theatre in downtown Chickasha.

The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.

Rock Island Arts Festival

From 12:00AM to 12:00PM

The Rock Island Arts Festival, hosted by the Chickasha Area Arts Council, will be held Friday, September 30th through Sunday Oct. 2nd at Chickasha's Historic Rock Island Railroad Depot in downtown Chickasha. Artisans from across the state will have paintings, sculpture, jewelry, drawings, and more for sale and local authors will have books for sale as well. Live bands and other entertainment will be held throughout the afternoon and evening Friday and Saturday and on Sunday afternoon. There will also be a wine and beer garden and food trucks will be on hand. Admission to the festival is free.

Chickasha Rock Island Ride

From 7:30AM to 12:00PM

The 6th annual Rock Island Ride will be Saturday, October 1, 2022 beginning at the historic Rock Island Railroad Depot in downtown Chickasha. There are rides ranging from 10 to 64 miles for riders of all ages and skill levels. There are two gravel routes and a rock climb on some of the longer rides. Riders can register the morning of the event between 7:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. with the ride starting at 9:00 a.m. After the ride participants can enjoy the annual Rock Island Arts Festival with the Chickasha Area Arts Council and the Oklahoma Foot Truck Championship in downtown Chickasha.

Blanchard Farmers Market

From 8:00AM to 12:00PM

The Blanchard Farmers Market is an Oklahoma Grown Market featuring Oklahoma-made  produce and products. It is open from 8:00 a.m. to noon every Saturday through October. New vendors welcome with information available on the website below. Also see the Blanchard Farmers Market Facebook page.

Together We Heel

8:45AM

Join the men and women of Grady County as they don their heel shoes for a half-mile fun walk to raise awareness and show support for victims of domestic violence.

Check in at the YMCA parking lot from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. , and at 10 a.m., walk down Chickasha Avenue to the Rock Island Depot.

Parking and shuttle service available at the Grady County Courthouse.

Register online by 10 a.m. September 15 to recieve a t-shirt to wear at the walk.
