The OSU Research Station in Chickasha will host a Wheat Field Day on Friday, April 29th from about 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A number of OSU specialists will attend including Josh Bushong, Area Agronomist; Misha Manuchehri, Canola Weed Science; Amanda Silva, Small Grains Specialist; Brett Carver, Wheat Breeder; and Brian Arnall, Precision Nutrient Management Specialist. Lunch will be provided by Ag Credit.
The Wichita Mountains Prevention Network will host Take Back Day. It's day to safely and properly dispose of expired or unused prescription and over-the-counter medicines. Take Back Day will be on from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. outside the Duncan Regional Hospital Learning Center at 2210 Duncan Regional Loop. Items they cannot take are inhalers, syringes, and liquids.
The 99th annual Chickasha Chamber of Commerce banquet will be tonight at the Grady County Fairgrounds. Social hour begins at 6:00 p.m. along with a silent auction. The guest speaker is Bill Geist, a national expert on destination marketing, several community awards will be presented and new members of the board of directors will be introduced.
