Auditions for The Little Mermaid Jr are scheduled for March 28,29 5:30-8pm at the Washita Theater, 509 Chickasha Ave. Multiple roles for ages 5-18. Prepare an approximate one-minute solo with or without accompaniment. A CD player and Bluetooth speaker will be provided. Bring a list of any and all date conflicts between audition dates and show dates. If there are excessive date conflicts, or are any date conflicts the final two weeks prior to showtime please call 405-639-6111 and discuss with the director prior to auditioning, as it may not be possible to schedule around these. Please plan on attending both days of auditions and also keep March 30 open for callbacks if necessary. Wear shoes to dance in - no sandals or flip flops.

A rehearsal schedule will be created and distributed at the first read thru after the show is cast. Rehearsals generally start out 4 times per week, graduate to 5 times per week, and are every day the last two weeks. They can be scheduled weeknights (5:30/6:00 - 8:00/9:00), Saturday mornings or afternoons or Sunday afternoons.

From the director: “Rehearsal schedules for these shows can be daunting. But the friendships made during rehearsals, the teamwork learned, the confidence built and the sense of accomplishment come showtime are all worth the time commitment. This show will be amazing.”

Show dates are June 2-5 and 9-12. Any further questions contact the director, Cheryl Critchfield, at 405-639-6111 or email info@chickashatheatre.org.

The determination regarding masks or faceshields at auditions and rehearsals will be made closer to auditions.
